Description

At Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area more than 1,500 acres of land are available for visitors use, including a 410-acre lake for swimming, fishing and boating opportunities. This park is a relaxing location for a hike, a bike ride or a picnic. It is also one of the most popular boating areas in eastern Iowa.

There are ten miles of hiking trails on the property. These trails can also be used for biking, snowmobiling and cross country skiing. Many of the trails have scenic overlooks and access to park facilities.

Directions

From Interstate 380, take the Center Point Exit 35. Go southwest on Highway W36 also called Lewis Bottoms Rd. for five miles to McClintock Rd Turn right/west onto McClintock Rd, drive for one half mile on McClintock Rd and into the parks main entrance.<br /><br />Pleasant Creek lies approximately 15 miles northwest of Cedar Rapids and 40 miles southeast of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls metropolitan area.
